Volunteer Heroes Saving Animals
- Be an animal-lover and have a desire to change their lives.
- Apply and get approved (Must be at least 18 years old)
- Clear a background check with digital fingerprinting - it's fast and free!
- Attend a brief shelter orientation and an animal-handling class
- Complete some paperwork
- That's it! You're on the team!
- Commit to attending at least two adoption events per month
- Pick up a shelter dog from your local shelter - We are piloting this program at Chula Vista Animal Care Facility now!
- Take the sweet fur-child to a nearby 2-hour adoption event
- Allow potential adopters to meet, pet, fall in love with, and apply to adopt the sweet fur-child.
- After the 2-hour event, return the critter to the shelter
- Send your photos and videos of the animals and events out to the world to help spread the love!
- Invite your friends and family to be on your team!!
